New plans and Yoko's sniper

I was originally supposed to do a Final fantasy 9 Lani for next summer Desucon, but my friends are doing Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann group cosplay, and of course I wanted to join!: D..Maybe I'll do my Lani for Animecon..Anyways I'm ashamed to admit I had never heard from Gurren Lagann;___; even though I love series like Neon Genesis Evangelion, Gundamm Seed, Transformers. Well I was checking who from the series I should cosplay and of course i chose the badass Adiane. There is still so much time till the con so i won't start sewing my outfit yet, because I'll probably finish it off in a week, but I might have  some problems with that tail of Adianes! Anyways I decided to make the sniper of Yoko to my friend, who's cosplaying her, because I already got the gun from Misato cosplay: )

Adinane's outfit looks almost like kimono with corset, so should be easy to make. I really like those tattoos of hers! On right you can see what Yoko's gun should look like.

 My budget for the prop 0€ it's totally made from stuff I found from the house, mainly it's from cardboard 

 The yellow black part of the gun is made of?? cardboard photograph box xD

 i covered the bumps with masking tape, worked okey

 The overal lenght is 144cm like it's supposed to be almost high of Yokos itself 

And here it is! It's not totally identical but i can still make some changes, in all I like how this looks, I varnished it just to make the it shine, I like the fake screw details most. 

Hancock outfit update plus rainy day sewing

Lately I've been working on my Boa Hancock (from onepiece) outfit again, I simply love this character and the outfit has details that i love, brings up challenge little bit: D I wore this outfit last years tracon Finland, and I'm planning to wear it at this years http://desucon.fi/desucon/ with little updates though.

So here's the Hancock I wore last tracon, this was my first Onepiece outfit, I was encouraged by my friends who were also doing Onepiece cosplay. Also end up meeting pretty awesome onepiece cosplaeyers: D  

So here's the changes, I end up doing new earrings. The new ones are made from cernit mass they were hardened in in owen so they sure will last although, they are pretty heavy to wear, but I'll get used to it. In the photo you can also see new sleeves and also the skirt is more open, like its supposed to! 

Next Desucon I'm also hoping to take some pretty sweet photos with my beloved Luffy. Problem is that I yet don't have the Luffy to take photos with, I might end up asking random Luffys to take photos with me, whoever will it be I've already sewed a captains jacket for him to wear! Anybody who wears this will have super manly shoulders, theres even 80's style topping underneath those shoulder decoration. And believe it or not this is a former evening gown from local flea market, freaky isn't it.

Day as Misato

So last weekend I went Chibicon for the first time, this was very small cosplay event held at Gloria, Helsinki. Usually I ask and take photos of others costumes but, here there wasn't enough space or cosplayers: S Although we find a nice spot to take photos of Misato, thankyou for these amazing photos and editing by Miki Toikkanen

In all i'm quite pleased with this outfit, I just wish this had been a lot more bigger event, I'm really looking forward to summers Desucon, tracon and actual animecon aaaand if I arrange my summer holiday at right spot, maybe going to world cosplay summit in Nagoya: D
